Soho is a neighborhood in​ Lower Manhattan in New York City that became home to many artists and art galleries. So​ho has the greatest collection of​ cast-iron architecture in the world, a technique initially used as a decorative front over a pre-existing building.​ ​ A great part of Soho was designated a New York City Landmark in 1973.
